Why the Body Matters
Modern life pulls us into the head. Thinking, planning, analyzing-all necessary, yet limited when they become the only place we live from.
If the answers were in the head, most of us would have figured it out by now.
Trauma Lives in the Body
Through our work with many people, we’ve seen a common pattern:
unresolved experiences and stress are often held in the body.
When the body doesn’t feel safe, people naturally retreat into the mind. Staying “in the head” becomes a form of protection.
When we gently reconnect with the body, sensations may arise that were previously avoided-often through constant activity, distraction, or habitual coping patterns.
This isn’t a problem.
It’s information.
